T O P I C R E V I E WCarlofrom our dear friend Seamistress, she spotted this yesterday... http://msnbc.com/news/818195.asp?pne-msn whadaya'll think?BB,CarloproxiemeYep, yep - that's what I think! Here's the bbc.com newslink: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/2306945.stm The initial name they've given it is funny, too, if it were to be equated w/ Pan-Horus - "Astronomers named the new object Quaoar, after the creation myth of the Tongva people who inhabited the Los Angeles area before the arrival of the Spanish and other European settlers. To the indigenous peoples, Quaoar was the great force of nature that summoned all other things into being."And I bet if one looked more into the mythology, it'd turn-out to be more nuanced than that & it'd name Quaoar as a "builder" or some such other thing...synchronicity's amazing.CorriN_wEvilbeing at university and living with a guy on an astrophysics course i did quizz him about this a while back. Its a widely accepted fact pluto itself was probably a captured planetoid (mainly due to its' rather eccentric orbit) - this planetoid could simply be a big oort cloud object.I'd put my money on the darwin mission picking it up (launching this year I think)meh...reading the article they said this anyway, damn.My thinking goes towards the asteroid belt in between jupiter and mars. Nobody knows if there's enough mass in there to make a large planet but could that have been pan-horus? Just a thought KellyVery interesting indeed. My birthday is Oct 5, 1970. That means both my main ruling planet at my birth numerological number rule more than one sun sign.Venus rules - Taurus and Libra Mercury rules - Gemini and VirgoWhat is interesting is Venus was incarnated as Isis and she was mother to Vulcan (Virgo) and Pan Horus(Taurus) . The Twins (Gemini). It is said when Taurus' true ruling planet is found that Librans will have more power (peaceful and loving of course) and they will be rich (financially and hopefully spiritually).Have a nice dayKelly lioneye68Yeah, that's interesting stuff. I find it interesting that the 2 signs known to be the quiet organizers, both have hidden planets. It's like the administrative cogs of a company that you never actually see, but are very necessary to the smooth functioning of day to day operations. Very indicative of the characteristics of those 2 signs. It's like, if you imagine each planet as being an entity that represents various dynamics in the human experience, a teacher if you will, then Pan Horus and Vulcan are the administrative staff. We don't interact with them directly, but they're still represented in the zodiac. They operate quietly and without public acknowledgement "behind the scenes". They couldn't care less for the glory. Maybe someday the human race will get to meet them, but until then, they'll keep efficiently plugging away, unknowingly to us. Much like a Virgo in the company office, or quite often, a Taurus, who is more of a leader than the two.Wow! A fellow Edmontonian! How cool is THAT?!How's it going, Kelly?
